MANGALORE: Surgeons in the city will be able to see and discover the benefits of the first computer-assisted knee-replacement surgery which will be done at AJ Hospital and Research Centre here on Thursday.

The Computer Navigation surgery will be performed by renowned Orthopaedic surgeon, Dr Christoph Saager from Switzerland.

Dr Saager will answer queries regarding the new surgical technique, how different it is from the conventional surgeries etc., after the operation.

Experts will also give more insight about the misconceptions of joint replacement surgery, symptoms and care required to prevent permanent damage and benefits of joint replacement surgery, specifically computer-navigated knee replacement surgery.
